Sandee Filo of Steinig-Tal Kennels
(STK), Campbellsport, Wisconsin is working with Qai in September,
1999. Qai was acquired by STK from a police K-9 trainer and breeder
in Lawrence, Michigan, Schafer Lake Kennels. Here Sandee is
conducting training with an exposed bite sleeve. |

Qai is shown working with a decoy
at STK. Here he is in a "Bark & Hold" with the decoy
wearing an exposed sleeve and apron. The police K-9 and handler
train using reasonable force and recalling the K-9 back to the handler. |
 |
In May, 2001 while working toward
canine certification, Qai and his handler trained at the United States
Coast Guard Station in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Here Qai is shown riding
a large USCG raft to the light house where a decoy is awaiting. |

In a sequence of 3
photos, a decoy wearing an exposed sleeve and protective apron is running
as Qai has been sent to make the "criminal apprehension". |

Larry Filo is working
with Qai in training. The handler/officer (middle photo) is about to
escort the compliant Larry Filo (criminal) toward a police vehicle as Qai
watches intently. Next, Qai is pictured taking a full bite of the exposed
sleeve making a good apprehension after Larry attempted to flee the
officer. |
